CompTIA Global Leader in IT Certification CompTIA is the world’s leading IT certification body with more than 8,000 corporate members in 60 countries. Worldwide, more than half a million IT professionals have been certified after meeting CompTIA exam criteria (the Computing Technology Industry Association) exams. CompTIA certifications serve key industry needs, providing quality assurance, credibility, and recognition of achievement. For companies, certification makes the hiring process simpler and more reliable. IT professionals benefit because certification leads to more job opportunities, higher salaries, and enhanced career advancement.
CompTIA offers certification exams in a range of areas including; network technologies, e-business, project management, training, and computer security. To prepare for these exams, candidates rely on a wide range of learning materials from the leading educational publishers and courseware developers. In recent years, CompTIA has identified a need to help candidates make the most effective choices from the learning materials available on the market. The result is the CompTIA Authorized Quality Curriculum (CAQC). The CAQC Initiative ILaunched in 2001,this quality assurance program evaluates training materials to ensure they are of high quality and cover the objectives of the appropriate certification exams. The CAQC logo on training products allows exam candidates to identify the best courseware and study materials for their certification needs. Thus, the CAQC provides incentive for vendors to ensure their training materials meet high quality standards, adding value and credibility to the world’s largest vender-neutral IT certification program. Learning Designs Online is the official authorized evaluator for all CompTIA training materials. CAQC materials are reviewed at Learning Design’s quality assurance facilities. Training products that meet CAQC standards are approved and awarded the CAQC logo. Recently, Microsoft announced that training materials developed for the Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT) program must be evaluated using the CAQC quality standards. As a result, to be accepted as an authorized training provider and be listed on the Microsoft website for referrals, presentation skills courses/TTT workshops must first be approved by the CAQC program.
