Learning Designs the authorized quality assurance evaluator for the world’s largest IT certification body— CompTIA (the Computing Technology Industry Association).
CompTIA has 8,000 corporate members in 60 countries.
To date, CompTIA has certified almost half a million IT professionals worldwide in a variety of computer-communications competencies (e.g., A+. Network+, IT Project+, Linux+, Server+).
In 2001, CompTIA launched a quality assurance initiative
called the CompTIA Authorized Quality Curriculum (CAQC) program. The CAQC is designed to help certification candidates around the world purchase courseware that meets a prescribed level of quality—in terms of content and instructional effectiveness.
After an extensive selection process, CompTIA chose Learning Designs Online as official quality evaluator. The selection of LDO was based on its position as industry leader in the development of quality assurance and quality standards for eLearning.
CompTIA’s CAQC Program Manager, Jonathan Thatcher, states: "Learning Designs is acknowledged as an industry leader in courseware evaluation." He notes Learning Designs was a strategic choice, "I believe their participation will help CompTIA achieve its goals of providing all our members with the best quality learning materials as we pursue our goals to expand into new IT certification domains."
