CompTIA partners with industry leader in learning quality assurance.

LDO to help vendors meet standards for CompTIA Authorized Quality Curriculum program (CAQC).



Toronto (Sept, 21, 2001) Learning Designs Online Inc. has been selected by the CompTIA, the Computing Technology Industry Association, as official reviewer for the new CompTIA Authorized Quality Curriculum program (CAQC). Learning Designs Online is the industry leader in the development and implementation of quality assurance and quality standards for the print and online training industry.

Learning Designs was selected in part because of its reputation in the training and education communities as experts the field of quality evaluation of print and online courseware. “Learning Designs is acknowledged as an industry leader in courseware evaluation,” says CAQC program manager, Jonathan Thatcher. “I believe their participation will help CompTIA achieve its goals of providing all our members with the best quality learning materials.”

The CAQC program identifies training materials—including books, self-study guides, classroom training programs, videos, computer-based training and other written and instructor-led courseware—that have been reviewed and found to map closely to the objectives of the appropriate CompTIA certification examination. The new quality assurance program will cover training materials for all nine CompTIA certifications

(A+, Network+, i-Net+, Server+, CDIA, Linux+, IT Project+, e-Biz+, and CTT+).

“We are looking forward to contributing to CompTIA’s quality courseware initiative,” says Dr. Lynette Gillis, President of Learning Designs. Dr. Gillis is a leading authority in the field instructional design and courseware quality assurance. She is the author of Quality Standards for Evaluating Multimedia and Online Training published by McGraw-Hill.

As a CompTIA authorized CAQC review body Learning Designs Online will be conducting reviews on a wide variety of learning materials including print, CBT, eLearning, video and instructor-led training. Our review teams can conduct reviews in several languages including English, French, Spanish, German, Russian, Polish, and Italian.
